Two Korean martial arts under one roof
Taekwondo is Korea's national martial art and an Olympic sport, built on dynamic kicking, speed and discipline. At DaeHan TKD it is taught under Korean tradition through Poom-Sae (patterns), Kyu-Ru-Ki (sparring) and demonstration training, for every age and every level.
Haidong Gumdo (K-Sword) is the Korean art of swordsmanship. Training combines traditional sword principles with modern method — forms (Geombeop), sparring (GyukGeom) and cutting skills — developing precision, posture, focus and the unity of mind, body and sword.
DaeHan TKD is a student-focused club where training is guided by Korean tradition under Grand Master Yeom. We prioritise individual growth, strong communication, and a family-friendly environment.
Athlete-focused classes that prioritise and cater to the needs of each individual athlete.
We treat everyone like family, always listening to and addressing the needs of our students.
Strong communication and prompt feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Building character through martial arts
Taekwondo teaches discipline and respect - not just in the dojang, but in everyday life. Our students learn to respect themselves, their instructors, and their peers.
Through progressive belt grading and continuous improvement, students build genuine confidence and a strong sense of self-worth that carries into all areas of life.
Training develops mental toughness, focus and resilience. Students learn to set goals, overcome challenges and push through barriers.
Our training programmes develop strength, flexibility, coordination and cardiovascular fitness in a fun and engaging way for all ages.
"Our sons (ages 6 & 8) have been training with DaeHan TKD and we have seen an amazing transformation in their confidence, discipline and physical fitness."
"A nurturing environment with small classes that allow for individual attention. Our kids love coming to training every week."
"Fantastic classes, kids love it. Very engaged and supportive coaching."

Performing TKD demonstration can maximize student's confidence from achieving extreme skills and complete a project. Moreover this also can guide our students the importance of formation of trust and sociality.
Hai-Dong Gum-Do — the Korean art of the sword
World Haedong Gumdo Forms (Geombeop) are structured sword patterns that combine traditional Korean sword principles with modern training methods. These forms develop proper cutting angles, footwork, balance, breathing control, and mental focus. Training emphasizes the unity of mind, body, and sword while improving precision, timing, and practical application skills.
Sparring in Haidong Gumdo is a controlled practice where students apply sword techniques against a live opponent. It develops timing, distance control, quick reactions, and practical combat skills while emphasizing safety, precision, and respect.
A demonstration in Haidong Gumdo showcases sword techniques, forms, and cutting skills in a dynamic and disciplined performance. It highlights precision, power, control, and the unity of mind and body, while presenting the spirit and tradition of Korean swordsmanship to the audience.
